Bill requiring businesses to pay employees during jury duty sent to Pritzker’s desk – WAND (Decatur)

Sponsors said this is an attempt to address the financial disincentives that exist for potential jurors to serve. The National Federation of Independent Businesses opposes the bill, as small businesses believe employees should be paid by the government for jury duty.

JB the Hutt has never sweated a payroll in his spectacularly cushioned life, so yet another takings from business owners means nothing to him. Passing this legislation would simply be further proof that taxation is legalized theft. Par for the course in The Hutt’s anti-business Illinois.

Sounds a bit discriminatory if you work for a small employer.
