If you have any interest at all in Gov. JB Pritzker’s shutdown order, the video below by Village of Orland Park Mayor Keith Pekau is a must-watch. It’s superb.
Pritzker’s order and his reopening plan are at this point nothing more than autocratic farce. The “science and data” he says they are built on are quackery and they are irrational on their face. He is grinding the Illinois economy into dust.
Perhaps worst of all, he ignores it to suit his politics. With breathtaking hypocrisy, he personally attended one of the recent large protests at which, as reported by ABC Chicago, he joined the chant of Black Lives Matter. Social distancing? Nah.

A set of state lawmakers want to extend CPS’ current school closing moratorium to February 1, 2027 – the same year CPS is set to transition to a fully-elected school board. That means schools like Manley High School, with capacity for more than 1,000 students but enrollment of just 78, can’t be closed for anther three years. The school spends $45,000 per student, but just 2.4% of students read at grade level.
Hopefully, all media will get the message, in Illinois, too.

It is terrible that nursing g home patients are not allowed family to visit. Now, we are told they have to get a Covid test or they will be isolated in their rooms! There has no t been any staff or clients positive during the whole time! Who is making money from the tests? I know, do you?! Nursing home clients only live for family, let us visit them. To die alone is shameful, in the hospitals as well. Take safety precautions, but let families be family!
The same type of things are happening here in NC. Doofus Cooper has come up with what he calls “science and data” to use as they re open. The only thing is he will not share his science and data or the methods for acquiring it. He is also going around our state constitution by not working with the council of state (Lt. governor, Treasurer etc), actually he is totally ignoring them. The governor and any officials that adhere to his beliefs, should be removed from leadership positions, as soon as humanly possible.
