Commentary: Chicago’s fiscal future depends on more than dollars. It depends on trust. – Chicago Tribune*

"The issues facing Chicago today are very different from those confronting the 13 Colonies in 1776, but both raise a fundamental question of governance: How can leaders earn public confidence when asking people to accept difficult trade-offs and shared obligations? Durable solutions still depend on the consent and participation of the people affected by them. That kind of consent can either be renewed or lost in this budget process."

Maybe the Trib should ask how much trust should the Trib have? It has a woke slant on almost every issue. It does nothing to expose or criticize city or state officials. Notice the Trib’s subscription offer is now $2 for 2 years. Will it be around in 2 years?

The Tribune is thinking Chicago government could lose the trust of the people? Really? Really? If you trust Chicago government at this point, you are beyond stupid.
