Do you mean like the myriad of workers in the private sector? Most of us understand that such uncertainty is part of working for a living.
This will happen all over the state sooner or later. Pension costs are growing like cancer and cannot be stopped now.
Maybe they should see if all these towns can join together with Chicago in a bankruptcy plan.
Sorry Preston, but you should think twice about taking a job dependent on tax dollars in an area with a history of crooked politicians that are less than financially transparent and populated by people with a history of having trouble paying their bills without government assistance and “ guaranteed incomes “.
The ideology that drove Harvey into the ditch is the same ideology driving Chicagoland in the same direction…by essentially the same people.
