‘Horrified:’ Lawmakers call for CPS accountability after slavery-themed play – NBC5 (Chicago)

A group of Black state lawmakers is calling for accountability at CPS after video of a play at Carver Military Academy on the South Side depicting Latino students auctioning off Black students as slaves went public.  In response, the district sent leaders at Carver a pamphlet entitled "10 Practices for Culturally-Responsive and Inclusive School Celebrations."

Why are schools even performing plays involving centuries old historical grievances? What purpose does this serve to relive and rehash, over and over again, the same period of history repeatedly? It must be some Southern tradition that they can’t let go. Some towns in the south still memorialize/complain about Gen. Sherman burning down their town 160 years ago. Re-litigating your ancestors historical grievances is just bad public policy.

Funny how libs want a version of history unvarnished and “their way “ , but when presented with it they swoon. Wait until the kids put on a skit about Soviet “ collectivism “. The only kick one could reasonably have about the piece that was presented that it failed to show the starting point when Africans sold whites, Arabs and other Africans alike like any other trade able commodity.

Sadly some group is at the bottom, everyone knows it’s blacks! Broken homes, disertion, missing dads, JW pointing to matriarchal authority! That’s just a start as all these are causing a rotting black culture, that hurts everyone. Bill Cosby long ago spoke about it, but nothings changed in their culture. Sad.
