Lawmakers in Springfield are pushing to pass legislation to provide people recently released from prison with housing, which they say will save Illinois taxpayers by reducing the likelihood for someone to reoffend.
I can’t believe that in the old days when people were held until trial and didn’t have their sentences automatically reduced by half that repeated and continuous crime breaking was committed by ex- cons even without a plethora of social services. The vast majority of cons went out, got jobs, checked in with their parole officer and never saw the inside of a jail again without a lot of hand holding. This is just another opportunity to grift from the taxpayers.

How’s the cashless bail working with RE-OFFENDERS??
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
