Illinois Federation of Teachers educators aren’t getting what they’re paying for – Illinois Policy

Less than 28 percent of IFT’s spending in 2025 was on representing teachers, according to the union’s annual report filed with the U.S. Labor Department. The rest was on politics, overhead and other union leadership priorities.

Yet the people we trust to educate our children keep electing the same progressive Marxist union leaders. Maybe Norm MacDonald was right when he said that a third grade teacher only needed a fourth grade education to teach.

Downstate teachers duped by Gates. All the teachers needed to do is look at Chicago. Gates is not a union leader. She is a far left political activist.

There ought to be a law requiring most of the money to go to bargaining unit activities. But then what legislator would vote for it when the union opposes it?
