Illinoisans could stop receiving SNAP benefits in November – State Journal-Register (Springfield)

1.9 million people use the program in Illinois. The program is 100 percent federally funded and receives more than $350 million for the program monthly. Illinois does not have the ability to fund the program, the press release read.

1.9M is a staggering amount; about 15 percent of the Illinois population. I would’ve guessed it would’ve been about 5 percent. I wonder how many of the 1.9M are legitimate recipients.

So.. a number of people roughly equal to the dwindling CHI population can’t find a job, are too sick to work, etc? Those are astronomical odds on a par with winning +1M playing blackjack at a Vegas casino.
