Chicago’s budget deficit is not Trumps fault. The deficit is squarely on Johnson’s shoulders. BJ refuses to cut wasteful spending and political hires. If you worked in the city in the 90’s and 00’s, you remember how bustling the downtown area was, as compared to now. Even then, the city’s budget battles were always contentious and barely balanced. I just don’t see how the city survives financially for much longer given its appalling leadership over the last decade.
