Square this one up for us, Gov. Pritzker. On January 3rd, you said that only 5 percent of COVID patients in Illinois’ ICUs were vaxxed.* The implication was that Illinois is suffering from a “pandemic of the unvaccinated.”
But since your comment, nearly 40 percent of all COVID deaths have been breakthroughs. Illinois has experienced 1,007 breakthrough deaths over the last four weeks.
That’s a massive disconnect. How can the vaxxed make up so few of the ICU patients – those most at risk of dying – and yet end up comprising so many of the total COVID deaths?
Wirepoints can think of a couple scenarios that explain that disconnect, but we’re simply not armed with the data that would allow us to confirm them. IDPH doesn’t provide the hospitalization data we need, let alone more detailed data on breakthrough demographics and comorbidities.
Which brings us to the actual point of this piece: The governor shouldn’t make comments that can’t be confirmed by publicly released data from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
This is far from the first time this has happened. Gov. Pritzker and Dr. Ezike have made statements throughout the pandemic that couldn’t be independently verified.
And that erodes trust, if there’s any left.
*Approximately 85% of those hospitalized because of COVID-19 are unvaccinated, while 95% of the approximately 1,100 people in intensive care are unvaccinated, Pritzker said.

A set of state lawmakers want to extend CPS’ current school closing moratorium to February 1, 2027 – the same year CPS is set to transition to a fully-elected school board. That means schools like Manley High School, with capacity for more than 1,000 students but enrollment of just 78, can’t be closed for anther three years. I know of at least 12 people who are/where all double or triple vaxxed and came down with Covid. I’m not, still a pure blood and havent had any issues. Mask on pretty much never and we, mrs, regularly go out and mingle with both the clean and unclean. Have we dodged the Covid bullet? So far, so good but who knows. Right now the vaxxed people we know are having lots more issues and adhere to the always wear a mask, wear rubber gloves, dont visit crowded stores etc and that doesnt seem to help one bit.

The pandemic is over. It is now time for the people who are freedom loving and brave and individualistic to go out and take back the lives we had. Start out by not wearing a mask, ever, don’t even put it in your pocket. Learn how to friendly respond to mask nazis. This is step 1, the masks. This is a lie. You are counted as unvaxxed if you only have one shot, or are under 14 days with your second shot. If they actually admit 40% are breakthrus, meaning people who are double-vaxxed with second dose after 14 days, then you KNOW the real number of breakthrus is huge.

A good friend of mine, all triple boostered, vaxxed, rarely leave the house, still quarantine their mail and groceries, they all just caught omicron, and have had mild cases all week. Their teenage son caught it from friends and brought it home. My neighbor just had her breakthrough case. Breakthrough is just another way of saying vaccine failure. Most caes these days are breakthrough. I don’t think the vaccine has stopped the transmission of a single corona case.
In Kansas, hospitals are listing anyone “not boosted” as unvaccinated. That means if you got the shot and the second shot…but not the booster and end up in the hospital, they list you as “un-vaccinated”

Thank you! I’ve been pointing out the discrepancy between breakthrough deaths and the claimed 99% of hospitalized being unvaccinated for over a month now. Unless the vaccinated and dying are staying away from the hospitals and expiring at home, the authorities and media are blatantly lying. Let’s look in the memory hole, may find something there to help explain. CDC recently fessed up that the deaths they had presented as being Covid were approximately 75% died with Covid, and 25% from Covid, and commorbids were significant. So the CDC inflated the lethality of Covid. The media has quietly ignored most of this.

The better way to look at the deaths is years lost because of covid. None of those vaccinated people died from Covid, they died from the most recent pandemic virus strain the Breakthrough. It is believed that the Breakthrough virus is more contagious and dangerous than Covid. Does anyone ever look at the obituaries? In December and January a lot of people in their 70s 80s and 90s pass away. It happens every year. Their compromised systems can’t handle the flu or the cold weather and pneumonia. They pick up other illnesses in the hospital or nursing homes. Check it out it happens every year.
