Ted was on Chicago’s Morning Answer with Dan and Amy to talk about the dangers of riding on the CTA, why attacking the failed policies of Kim Foxx and Tim Evans is essential for whoever becomes mayor, why pensions are the number one financial issue for the city and the state, Gov. Pritzker’s complete failure to create an Illinois EV industry despite providing millions in subsidies, and more.

If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
Everybody agonizing aboutbKim! Do something. Boilerplate an ordinance that corners her and forces skin in the game.
I’d like to see a list of all those not prosecuted by Kim Fox who later went on to commit a violent crime. She has been worthless for law abiding citizens!
Go to CWBCHICAGO.COM there’s multiple stories about the problem.
Nothing is going to change but the amount of crime. It is going way up for many years to come.
Ms. Foxx is a significant reason why Chicago and IL continue their descent into oblivion. She should be recalled….but our politcal class, and especially the public unions, will not allow that.
The law abiding, non public union taxpayers of IL, have had it, and we will someday force the CIG (corrupt; incompetent; and greedy) politicians in IL to listen and react to us, even if it takes most of us leaving this train wreck.
I traveled to Detroit on business in the 70’s and 80’s. It was a great city until I rented a car at Wayne airport and the Hertz rep told me if I had a flat tire in Detroit to call Hertz and stay in the car, do not get out and try to change the tire myself. He told me my life would be in danger. this was 1990. I stopped going to Detroit after that not worth loosing my life over a job. I would not go into Chicago because my life would be in danger, see any comparison,… Read more »
Anyone who is familiar with Detroit in the 70’s can see the parallels. Ask Old Joe. I spent a lot of time at Grandma’s house in Detroit in the late 60’s. Saw what happened a few years later- it wasn’t pretty.
Folks, the runoff election reminds me of Detroit in 1973. It was a law and order guy (Wayne County Sherrif) vs. an anti-police Progressive Democrat and the Progressive Democrat won. You know the rest of the story.
Move heaven and earth to elect Vallas or you’ll live the story of Detroit in Chicago.
Having moved out, Chicago is no longer the city I grew up and worked in. Give progressives what they want, Brandon Johnson. Watch half the CPD move to FL. See what happens to social workers and mental health experts when they try to stop drive by shootings and car jackings. Watch suburban workers and companies get out when he tries to tax them for being in the city. Watch the exchanges move out when he tries to tax trades. Watch the CTU get even more power than it has now. I will admit to having no sympathy for the city… Read more »
If Brandon Johnson wins, white Chicagoans will soon long for the days of Lightfoot. Take a moment and let that sink in. Now, are you finally ready to flee?
Brandon Johnson I think is going to win. 9 candidates, 7 black, 1 White, 1 hispanic. Black voters will vote for him solely for the reason he is one of them. No need to worry about Foxx or Evan’s because if he wins it is going to be the Titanic x 10. Avowed communist/socialist, reparations, defunding the police, diversity, inclusion, equity will be at the forefront of the entire agenda. Chicago will have the final stake driven into it’s heart. If anyone thinks things are bad now and the above radical is elected, watch out.
Where does the Lation population stand between the 2 finalists? I wish people would stop voting for candidates based on their color or ethnic background. What do they stand to gain by voting for someone;s skin color or ethnicity…..NOTHING! We have learned time and time again the failure of that manner of voting.
Color doesn’t have anything to do with it because all a candidate needs is that “D” after their name. When its two “D’s” against each other the race of the candidate means something. Blacks will vote for the black candidate, most Whites will vote for the White candidate, and I believe that the hispanic vote gets split. My opinion only.
I think you are correct but not because of race. The clearest issue today is that white people are concerned most about crime and Law & Order, and quite frankly, blacks are far less concerned. IIRC a recent poll showed that 61% of white people said that crime was the biggest issue but only 4% said that criminal justice reform was important. Supporting for Paul Vallas inevitably means arresting and jailing more black and brown people, because, black and brown people commit a disproportional amount of crime. But only 30% of blacks said crime was an issue and 31% said… Read more »
