Pritzker loses potential home-state edge in 2028 DNC lineup – Axios

Illinois won't be among the Democratic Party's early presidential primary states in 2028, despite an aggressive lobbying effort by Gov. JB Pritzker and state Democrats to move the state to the front of the nominating calendar.

I can just see the crying in the backrooms of the Illinois media organizations that were hoping for Pritzker to be a leading candidate thereby allowing them to garner significant advertising dollars for the national campaign. It is looking like that isn’t going to work out for them now. Finally something that puts a smile on my face regarding the whole Illinois political mess including the media that has been part of the action along the way.

Has anyone noticed the changes on local media Fox 32 etc with new people to try and boost their ratings. ABC 7 Chicago is being scrutinized by the FCC I hope they pull their license they literally stink and I’m being polite.

I wonder when, if ever, it will dawn on Pritzker that the Dems let him hang around to fund the DNC adroitly bankrupted by Kamala and he will never be more than a footnote. They have their minds set on the likes of Newsom, AOC etc. and big fish in a small pond JD is insignificant.

The DNC intends to coronate Kamala again. She has double digit leads in nearly every poll for the past twelve months. The DNC believes that with more time, and more money, they can pull her past the finish line. It’s possible there’s a dark horse candidate that appears out of nowhere at the last minute (much like Obama emerged from obscurity in February 2007) but time is running out. Remember, the DNC has superdelegates whose votes count more than other votes, and they ultimately decide who is nominated.
