“Illinois donors are going to be funding this program no matter what. Isn’t it in our best interest for Illinois students to get their fair share of the pie?” said State Rep. Travis Weaver.
Chicago parents who are very apparently choosing other options for educating their children based on enrollment figures published right here in Wirepoints, deserve our praise and any private voucher system that can support their effort. Just look at the fiasco of remote learning and the “loss” of millions in missing laptop computers. CPS/CTU need to be abandoned.

Simple. If the public school system provides such a great education, why would parents opt for private schools? So why should public school officials worry? Why do officials such as Pritzker and Stacy Davis send their children to private schools?

A shadow nonprofit of the Chicago Teachers Union claims federal vouchers for IL families is wrong. We’ve heard this false narrative before with all its lies and distortions. This is the same sad group that sells kids out every year for the benefit of the union and Democrats. And we know what Pritzker and Democrats in IL will do – sellout families for the teachers union again. Democrats do not care about IL families, kids, or education – only further feathering of the union. It’s a complete disgrace.

I’ll bet Jelly Belly sides with the teachers union and further burdens parents’ attempts to get a decent education for their kids. Mediocrity (or worse) can’t stand competition, so even if it doesn’t cost us anything, the education monopoly must be preserved The real Governor of this state isn’t in Springfield; she runs a teachers’ union that spends the vast bulk of its dues on political activity..

This is a Federal Tax credit program that has no bearing on Illinois state taxes or resources. Interestingly enough over at CapitolFax the incorrect team line is how this will make assorted issues with State funding, deciding on how state taxes are spent and a slew of other comments regarding how Illinois taxes are spent.I alway knew that bunch were not the brightest bulbs in the box but this one takes the cake. Miller doesn’t even correct the posters meaning he is as misinformed as the rest or is ignoring the posts as they cheer the usual team line of… Read more »
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.

I’m really anxious to see how our state senator ‘Lenin’ spins this one to tow the party line and cower to the teachers union.
