June 1 thanks to PIGSTER the gasoline tax will increase by INFLATION. Currently 49 cents a GALLON. While EV’s are IMMUNE from this tax . Don’t tell me you pay for EV’s plates because I’ll gladly pay that instead of the FUEL TAX imposed by Federal , State and county fuel taxes .
Then get an EV. That’s your choice. It’s an incentive to get an EV. Otherwise you will pay more in fuel taxes every year. Don’t worry though, eventually if enough people by an EV, the state will just change to the tax laws and most likely start charging a mileage tax. The state needs the money for all the spending they want and they will get it one way or another.

The City is forcing higher wages in tipped occupations. As patrons realize their restaurant bill is covering higher proportions of total wages through food costs (the bill), tips and total employment will fall while sales tax collections will increase. It’s interesting that the City, in forcing higher wages, is effectively creating a mini-sales tax revenue “windfall” for the state, which in turn is threatening to remove such decisions from municipal control, all the while wailing about Trump’s gas prices and quietly enjoying greatly increased revenue from the sales tax on gasoline.
