Ted joined Dan and Amy to talk about how government unions are essentially the ones in charge of Illinois, why residents are trapped in an unfair two-class system, the latest details on the Gotion controversy, how Mayor Johnson has proven he can’t manage Chicago, and more.

Expect no retraction or apology. This what they do.
The state’s existing buyout program for its own pensions is the precedent for Chicago, which should be a warning: Look out for similar exaggerated claims and shoddy analysis.
Dan and Amy are so negative. They’re making things worse.
I’m really curious how everyone thinks anything is going to get done with Dan’s message. I know a lot about activism and motivation. I’m coming out with a lot of material in January.
I think you have it backwards Dave. What is negative is the government union’s overall impact on the quality of life, and the value of homes, in Illinois. From highest in the nation gas and sales taxes, to highest property taxes, the negative impacts are clear. And the quality of services provided by the government / union employees is largely very poor, compared to most other states.
The article about school choice has a map with school choice states in green while Illinois and Kentucky were white. The map was like a green sea with the white island in the middle. My thoughts are that the population leaving Illinois for these states seeks lower taxes, better school educational resources, less union input from Government employees including teachers, better infrastructure and a non dictatorial type of Government. Those immigrating into Illinois will not be bothered by those issues and will be composed of the free stuff army, the gimme some of dats, radical leftists and of course the… Read more »
What do you think will happen if everyone leaves and Illinois is filled with illegals? Your neighborhood will be next. Quit telling everyone to run away from their problems.
Pritzker and the Democrats keep telling us what a boom all the illegals are – all these new illiterate ditch diggers are going to save the state of IL!
Have no fear, IL will run just fine on free Skittles, unicorns passing gas and empty promises. To think otherwise is harshing our buzz, man!
How about less sarcasm and more team spirit? Johnson has a 28% approval rating.
According to the IL Policy research. Only slightly biased, I’d say.
I am not sure his approval rating should be the focus. Johnson seems remarkably over his head, and as in a recent interview, blames right wing extremism. In Chicago, the largest cohort of right wing extremists are in Jussie Smollett’s head. It is a ridiculous response to the City’s problems. There was a group of people who applauded Johnson’s victory because it would make the City reach the bottom “quickly”. I did not agree, as incompetence can create a lot of pain. I agree with being positive towards reaching concrete goals or objective but the need to capture current reality… Read more »
Re Johnson, you seem to forget he’s a BLACK man trying to raise BLACK children with his BLACK wife on the west side. Apparently that sets him apart from the people raising families that pay his salary and fund the CTU.
As a side note, it’s $millions$ in JB–Prizker Family Trust bucks that helped elect dem supreme court judge in Wisconsin to try and overturn ACT 10. Make no mistake which horse JBs chosen to ride for his future political ambitions
By chance is it this Horse? LOL

The public sector unions have gamed the system. The quality of life for the average worker has been destroyed by them. Only way out at this point is to move out of state. Do not forget to give Illinois the 1 finger salute on the way out.
Absolutely, the gamed system works exceptionally well for them. And they do not give a hoot about who is hurt buy their greed. Their view is ‘I got mine, and it sucks to be you’ Their smugness attests to it.
