Trump administration gives Illinois nearly $300 million to replace toxic lead pipes – WBEZ (Chicago)

The major investment is part of a $2.9 billion national funding package from the Trump administration’s Environmental Protection Agency. Illinois received about 10 percent of the federal dollars — the largest allocation among all 50 states.

I hope there are tight constraints on how that money is used. There was funding released for this same thing in the recent past – albeit in different programs and tranches. Wonder if anyone has any idea where that went?
