If this bill passes, say goodbye to local control over all Illinois parks and expect to see open drug and alcohol use, needles, no sanitation and fire hazards, but no ordinary park users.
The Census Bureau announced an increase in births but made no mention of how many were legit and illegit. Tsk. Tsk. How “politically incorrect” yet accurate. Don’t expect a response.
Here’s a great solution to the problem of children being born to unwed mothers: safe and legal access to abortion and birth control.
Excellent way to prevent crime and poverty.
Are you quite serious ? Birth control and legal abortion have been around for near 50:years. The problem of babies being born to unwed mothers has exploded in those 50 years. Methinks there must be another cause for this tragedy.

Explain? The statistics in the series of articles by Matt Rosenberg indicate an explosion in unwed motherhood. If you wish me to explain the reason for the problem I would say that it was a lack of morality, not taught in the home and church primarily. Yes, it’s naive and it may be too late to return to a time when sexual morality was at least honored, if not always practiced. But, I do think that is the only real solution.

Abortion is safe for everyone? Not the child in utero. What is the difference between a one hour old child and one that is 8 inches up the uterus? Answer: nothing.
Size is the only difference. Both are living humans, little though they are.
Here’s something to ponder. If a pregnant mother is on her way to get an abortion and gets run over and killed the driver will be charged with 2 counts of (involuntary) manslaughter depending on the circumstances (DUI/brakes failing/etc) So in that case there are two separate beings but no crime is committed if she decides to terminate. Why is there a law for one set of circumstances and a different one for another?

But they’re the dumbed down media apparatus that is the result of the dumbed down culture.
She brushes of the obvious cause/effect of the decline of the nuclear family with societal/cultural rot.
He equates the responsibility of not having kids before you’re ready with abstaining from sex.

90 percent in certain communities? Wow. That is a total breakdown of societal, family and moral standards. And who is that twit “Judy” trying to defend unmarried childbirth? Did she not listen to any of the discussion re the statistics– which are overwhelming.
Judy’s archaic form of feminism again raises its ugly head. A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle. Judy is still too old school, she is still seeped in third-wave feminism…her views have been left behind by fourth-wave of feminism. Children don’t need two parents or even a nuclear family: children can be raised in any environment that is safe and loving i.e. two moms, three dads, polyamory, community based raising children, extend relatives, etc, and it is our society, our system itself, our own culture, that is biased towards two parent households. Western-prescribed nuclear family structure
I don’t understand this because a mom, a dad, and kids, isn’t western. It’s nature and nearly every society did this … sure there are some variables but mostly revolve around extended families and the other western taboo: polygamy. This would be one dad, 6 moms, and dozens of children. Is this what they want? I doubt it.
IT is a matter of economics, the unwed mothers are paid more by government programs than the unemployed fathers can contribute.Stop all aid to to the unwed,but pay to those married and in need.
How about the government stays out of the family formation debate? Like everything else it touches, ruinous results occur.
Our entire system is based upon the idea of a man, a woman and a child, as a family and economic unit. Our entire societal structure is based upon this. Such a small minority inflicting so much harm. Everyone deserves to live in freedom, but we should not be forced to comply with these fantasies that are really mental health challenges and perverted lifestyle choices.
