In Illinois, the more that people leave the more pressure there is to raise taxes, which pushes more out-migration. We’re in a negative spiral – Wirepoints on AM 560 Chicago’s Morning Answer

Ted joined Dan and Amy to talk about the flight Illinois’ wealthiest residents and how that causes Illinois to miss out out on billions in tax revenues, Gov. The illegals will still move here as the DEMS giver them more and more and more. So the population may not decrease as dramatically as one would think but the State will be increasingly poorer and poorer

I think this is great. Within the next couple of years, the only people left in Illinois will be the people who vote for a living instead of work for a living. They vote for these people, so now they’ll be the only ones left to pay for all their “free” stuff. I’ll enjoy watching the revolt while sitting comfortably in a red state.

You are correct John, it will be entertaining watching Chicago/Illinois destroy itself. The Wirepoints staff may feel a sense of loss, but a lot of us that used their site to justify our red state move will feel a sense of justice.

You are missing the point. (Illinois Property tax rates heading for double digits=Deliberate bust-out of property values in Illinois) will result in Pritzker-esques using crony Too-Big-2-Fail Big-Bank leverage at 1000-to-1 buying up bankrupted Illinois properties (rich farmland, lucrative commercial and residential rentals) at pennies on the dollar (with taxpayers supplying/backing any Pritzker-esque pennies at risk). See Detroit et al. Detroit essentially became a ward of the State of Michigan when it used to be the engine of Michigan and the industrial hub of the country.

Death Spiral or Debt Spiral. As PPF taxes must go up and the pension contract must be lived up to. Taxpayers will have to pay for it. If you do not want to pay up money, then you will have to move (if you can find a U-Haul). Do not forget to bring you sun block as the weather is Beautiful sunny blue skies. The city of Boca Raton, Fl. ranked 12th nationally out of almost 1,000 cities across the country due to its ability to provide the privacy and safety of suburban life as well as access to lifestyle… Read more »

The smug, arrogant know it all just can’t acknowledge that anything is wrong. It’s a character flaw that will kill this state.

It’s not a flaw. It’s working, that’s all. Yes, it’s working folks. The act of administration and education is supposed to be unaffordable and is supposed to make things worse. Wake up.
