Proposed toll hikes would cost drivers $17 billion in next 15 years – Illinois Policy

Tollway revenues are already at record highs, with $1.3 billion more in revenues in 2025 than operating and maintenance expenses. Since 1973 — the year the system was supposed to become free to drivers — the agency has collected more in tolls each year than it needed to operate and maintain the system.

JB the Hutt diverted toll money into the NITA/RTA mess. Gotta make that money grab up somewhere, so why not the Chumbolones who drive it to/from work most weekdays?

The Tollway itself is just another political animal feifdom where ‘we don’t see nobody nobody sent’.

“Chickenfeed! The drivers will pay more; raise the tolls some more. The money’s just going to waste in the drivers’ pockets”
