Cook County tax mess cost Evanston’s D65 more than $1 million – Evanston Now

District spokesperson Hannah Dillow said the county’s delayed payment of property taxes owed to school systems forced D65 to borrow money “to meet payment obligations to employees and vendors/service partners.” D65 has incurred $27, 500 in “issuance costs,” expects the interest to total $152, 950, and also has “experienced $961,662 … in lost investment income.”
